Tekst
Round and round the painted horses go
Up and down the lights begin to glow
We were golden at the start
Two young riders, wild at heart
Music box beneath our feet
Every turn felt bittersweet
Some rides end, some begin anew
Still I keep on thinking of you
Carousel hearts spinning slow
Round the love we used to know
Hold on tight or let it go
That's the way the carousel flows
Calliope is playing soft
Memories in the loft
Maybe we'll meet on top again
When the carnival begins
Round and round but not the same
Every circle writes a name
If we part, we'll find our way
Back to the ride another day
Metrum 3/4 wybrano, by naśladować łagodne wznoszenie się i opadanie koni karuzeli — walce nadaje utworowi nostalgiczną, filmową jakość.
Utwór ma klimat bittersweet waltz about love's beautiful cycles and turning seasons, łącząc elementy Jazz-pop z charakterystyczną retro-nowoczesną produkcją Groovella.
