Lyrics

I remember the day you came With your momma holding tight Two tiny hearts beating in harmony A double dose of light Little Emma's laughter Like music to my soul Seeing you both sleeping Makes my world feel whole And as your eyes begin to open My heart skips a beat Twins you've made my life so sweet Oh my life's a celebration, now that I have you two With every giggle step we take A love that's ever true I've got my angels' laughter, a melody so new In this joy we've found a family to renew In the mornings your smiles welcome me A golden morning sun Each moment shared with you Is life's bliss begun Your tiny hands held high They reach for dreams untold The love you bring is priceless Worth more than any gold And as the night draws near, we cuddle up to sleep Together we'll dream big, dreams we'll always keep Oh my life's a celebration, now that I have you two With every giggle step we take A love that's ever true I've got my angels' laughter, a melody so new In this joy we've found a family to renew I promise to guide you through all of life's unknowns To light your every step so you never feel alone You're the rhythm of my heart the song that sets me free Twins you've filled my life with endless glee Oh my life's a celebration, now that I have you two With every giggle step we take A love that's ever true I've got my angels' laughter, a melody so new In this joy we've found a family to renew

Behind the Song

A Double Dose of Love was written as a birthday gift for Groovella's twin daughters, Emma and Lucy. The song began as a simple acoustic guitar melody played at a family gathering before growing into a full studio production — and into something unexpected: Groovella's most rock-oriented track, an upbeat, Beatles-inspired tune with a melody that feels straight out of the 60s or 70s, delightfully out of step with its time. Snapping drums, hand claps, maracas and tambourine drive a festive, joyful spirit; jazz was momentarily put in parentheses, though it never wandered far. The lyrics celebrate the double dose of love that arrived with their birth — double the laughter, double the light — in a song built to make the whole room smile.

The track has a festive rock-leaning tribute to twin daughters Emma and Lucy with 60s joy vibe, blending Jazz-pop elements with Groovella's signature retro-modern production style.
