制作の裏側
Set The Sceneは、GroovellaがCosmic Cabaretをシングルの集まりではなく本格的なミュージカル・レヴューとして構想したときに書かれた最初の曲です。オープニングのファンファーレはブロードウェイのオーヴァチュアとヴィンテージのパリ・キャバレー・バンドに着想を得ており、ブラス一撃とウォーキング・ベースが「ショーの始まり」を告げます。Rhodesのコードはテープ・サチュレーター経由で録音され、温かくノスタルジックな輝きを与えています。他の曲がすべて完成した後に最後にミックスされ、アルバム全体からのさりげないメロディックなヒントを織り込めるようにしました。
