制作の裏側
Carousel Heartsは、Groovellaが子供の頃訪れたパリ郊外のヴィンテージ遊園地に触発されました。3/4拍子はメリーゴーラウンドの馬の緩やかな上下動を模倣するために選ばれ、ワルツ感が曲にノスタルジックで映画的な質を与えています。弦楽アレンジは小編成で録音し、温かみのために意図的にわずかに detune しています。歌詞は関係が同じパターンを繰り返しつつ同一には繰り返さない様を探り、終わりを認めながらも希望を失わない、成熟したラブソングを目指しました。
この曲はbittersweet waltz about love's beautiful cycles and turning seasonsな雰囲気で、Jazz-popの要素とGroovella特有のレトロ・モダンなサウンドを融合しています。
