A Double Dose of Love se escribió como regalo de cumpleaños para las gemelas de Groovella, Emma y Lucy. La canción empezó como una sencilla melodía de guitarra acústica tocada en una reunión familiar, antes de convertirse en una producción de estudio — y en algo inesperado: el tema más rockero de Groovella, una canción entrañable inspirada en los Beatles, con una melodía de los 60 o 70 deliberadamente fuera de su tiempo. Una batería que claquea, palmas, maracas y pandereta impulsan un espíritu festivo y alegre; el jazz quedó momentáneamente entre paréntesis, aunque nunca se alejó del todo.
